Meta announced 'Your Algorithm' for Facebook on Oct 13, 2026. It sits in the three-dot menu on posts. People can add and manage topics they want to see more or less of in Feed and Reels. After tapping 'Interested' or 'Not interested' on a post, they may get follow-up questions they can answer in their own words.
Meta says large language models now help interpret that feedback, alongside signals it already uses, such as watch time and shares. Similar controls reached Instagram and Threads earlier in 2026, so all three Meta apps now let viewers steer their own feeds.
For a trainer, this means reach increasingly depends on whether a viewer has asked for your topic. Think of phrases like 'strength training for beginners' or 'knee-friendly workouts'. Clear, consistent niche content is more likely to be matched. Posting a bit of everything makes you harder to match.
This week, write down the one or two topics you want to be known for. Look over your recent posts and see how many actually fit. Then say the topic plainly in the first line and caption of your next posts, so both people and the system can tell what you are about.
In the 90-Day Build we make and post your content, answer your leads and close them on sales calls.
